WANTED CHINESE MYSTERY SNAIL

THIS INVASIVE EXOTIC ANIMAL HAS BEEN FOUND IN SOME WATER BODIES IN THE LAKES REGION!

Imported from Asia, the Chinese Mystery snail is not native to our waters.  Detrimental to the health of the lake, this animal reproduces rapidly out competing native species for food and habitat adversely affecting the food chain and native eco-system. Additionally, it can host numerous parasites which may be harmful to humans.

IF YOU FIND ANY OF THESE SNAILS, PLEASE REMOVE THEM FROM THE WATER.

If you find these snails, please take a picture if possible, make a note of where it was found in lake and dispose of snail in trash.  Please see below for contact information.

Adult Mystery snails are large, Olive Green, Golf ball size.  Approx. 1/1/2” – 2” length

PLEASE CLEAN, DRAIN, DRY AND INSPECT ALL WATERCRAFT AND RECREATIONAL EQUIPMENT THAT HOLDS WATER BEFORE ENTERING AND AFTER LEAVING LAKE TO REMOVE ANY INVASIVE PLANT AND ANIMAL HITCHIKERS
