Are permits required for signage

Yes.  A building permit is required for signage on personal or business property.  Per the Town of Center Harbor Zoning Ordinance Section 6, a sign is defined as:

"Sign” shall mean a structure, building wall, supporting post(s), other outdoor surface, or any devised use for visual communication the purpose of which is to bring the subject depicted thereon to the attention of the public, or to display, identify, or publicize the name and/or service of any person or business.  Please visit the Town of Center Harbor Zoning Ordinance Section 6 for more detailed information.

You may obtain a building permit by visiting the Code Enforcement page and selecting Construction Permit Application.
