Public Notice: Town / NHDES Stormwater Asset Management Program Village Center, Center Harbor, NH

The Town of Center Harbor Highway Department will be conducting a Public Informational Meeting relative to the undertaking of a storm water management program within the village center area of Center Harbor. The meeting will be held at the following location, date, and time:

The existing stormwater systems within the village center are a mixture of Private, Municipal, and New Hampshire Department of Transportation closed drainage systems comprised of numerous types of pipes and inlet structures of unknown ages, pipe sizes and of varying conditions. The service area for the study area is bounded by the Chase Circle residential area to the north, Lake Winnipesaukee to the south, Moultonborough town line to the east, and Canoe Restaurant to the west. Outfalls from these systems are typically direct discharge to the lake. The final report will identify the stormwater systems and conditions thereof, recommended asset maintenance or improvements; recommended stormwater treatment systems, asset maintenance costs and improvement capitalization costs, and priority phasing of the facilities.

The intent of the meeting is to identify the project, the scope of study, the need for possible intrusion onto private properties to document the existing systems, and study schedule.
