      On Thursday, July 26th, at 7:00pm, the Center Harbor Schoolhouse Museum, 94 Dane Rd, Rt 25B, will present a program called COVERED BRIDGES OF THE NORTHEAST.

      Co-Presenters Steve and Kathy Jaquith have traveled extensively, working around vacations and day trips, locating and photographing covered bridges around New England, New York and Pennsylvania.They would research the history of these bridges and would soon learn just how many of them used to be in New England.

    One such bridge was the Saucks Covered Bridge which is located by the Gettysburg National Park. PA. This bridge is belived to be haunted and is a favorite of ghost hunters. One ghost story told was that three Confederate Soldiers who deserted their unit were caught and it is belived that they were hung on this bridge as their punishment.
