Another Great Center Harbor 4th of July Celebration On The Books

The Town of Center Harbor prides itself on hosting a day full of local activities on the 4th of July.  The day starts with the annual 4th of July road race.  This year the Parks and Recreation Department hosted its 39th annual footrace which consists of a 1.776 mile and 5 mile run.  This race is more than just setting a good pace and being the leader of the pack, it is clear from people that participate as well as those spectating that this event signifies solidarity in our community.   Race participants are cheered from the moment the race starts until the very last person crosses the finish line.

The day continues with the Center Harbor Parade where the Town's most important departments participate. The Center Harbor Fire Department, Emergency Services and Police Department that support the Center Harbor Community as well as the surrounding communities take center stage.  The residents of Center Harbor appreciate the work of our Fire, Emergency and Police Departmenents and we thank you for your service.

The day closes out with performances by the Town Band and of course the highly anticipated firework display.  The firework display is sponsored by both the Town of Center Harbor and the Town of Moultonborough and every year seems to grow more in popularity.   Local residents as well as those who visit our beautiful location in the Lakes Region conitnue to comment about the wonderful job the Town of Center Harbor does with their 4th of July Celebrations.

Vincent Martino of Hanover Massachusetts had this to say: "I want to thank Parks and Rec for the wonderful program put together for the July 4th Center Harbor Concert and Fireworks display. The Town Band, under the masterful direction of Carlos Martinez, was per usual outstanding. Catherine Martinez did a wonderful job alongside her dad. The fireworks were spectacular. After attending the 2016 July 4th celebration, I had circled the date for this year's celebration and after getting through a long winter, was rewarded with an evening of music and fireworks second to none. Center Harbor, through its band concerts and community events, offers up a serving of Americana that communities strive to achieve but rarely attain. My congratulations again to Parks and Recreation on their wonderful achievements, and to the Board of Selectmen for their continued support of these outstanding community programs."

Thank you to everyone in and around the Town of Center Harbor, we hope you continue to join us for the July 4th celebrations for years to come. Stay safe and enjoy the rest of the summer in the Lakes Region.
