Volunteers Needed to Clean Up Roadsides in Center Harbor for Earth Day 2018

Center Harbor, NH – The snow is finally disappearing as warmer weather approaches, revealing what is hidden below. Only it's not crocus and daffodils emerging along the side of the road; it's bottles, cans, papers and other litter! In recognition of Earth Day 2018, the Town of Center Harbor is organizing a town-wide, volunteer effort to clean up the trash that accumulated along its roadsides over the winter.

Everyone in town is invited to pitch in on Saturday, April 21 from 9:00am until noon. Help beautify the road on which you live, your own neighborhood or the Town green. Volunteers are especially needed to help pick up roadside trash along Main Street, Route 25 and Route 25B.

The Town will provide blue trash bags, vinyl gloves and safety vests. These supplies may be picked up at the Town Hall during regular business hours the week of April 16 or on Saturday, April 21 between 8:30 and 9:00am. Later, our Department of Public Works will collect and dispose of the filled, trash bags that should be left at the roadside.

If you would like to volunteer for the Center Harbor Earth Day 2018 Roadside Clean-up, please contact Aimee Manfredi-Sanschagrin at the Town Hall at 603-253-4561 or ctrhtownoffice@metrocast.net. Please indicate where in Town you would like to pitch in. Those helping along Main Street, Route 25 and Route 25B are asked to meet at the Town Hall on Saturday, April 21 at 8:30 am.
