“I have been something of a traveller in our own country, - and in Europe have seen all that is most attractive, from the Highlands of Scotland to the Golden Horn of Constantinople - from the summit of the Hartz Mountains to the Fountain of Vaucluse; but my eye has yet to rest on a lovlier scene than that which smiles around you as you sail from Weirs' landing to Centre Harbor.”

- Edward Everett, Eastman's White Mountain Guide; 1879

July 4th Parade - Attention Active Military Personnel and Veterans:

This year's Fourth of July celebration theme is the "Good Old Days".  How can one remember those days without recalling the many freedoms given us by those who have served our great country.  We owe so much to those who have given so much and because of that the Town of Center Harbor would like as many of our past and present military local residents and guests to take part in our annual July 4th parade at 2:00 P.M.  For more information, please contact the Center Harbor Parks & Recreation Department at (603) 455-1632.
